West Orange Rehabilitation Center Offers Hope to Returning Soldiers

The Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, New Jersey has been offering hope to the families of wounded soldiers returning home from service overseas. The Institute has been aiding service men and women wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan from across the nation.

An article in Sunday’s New York Times highlights the struggle, and the hope, several families have endured on the road to recovery. Most of the patients at the Kessler Institute have suffered a traumatic brain injury and have been left with little hope of a full recovery.

The article highlights several families of wounded veterans and why they have chosen the care of the Kessler Institute of the standard care offered by the Department of Defense’s lack of acceptable care at standard Veteran’s Hospitals throughout the country.
