TBI Survivor Celebrates 50th Birthday

New medical advances have given hope to those suffering from, and those who care for, people affected by a traumatic brain injury. The Star Ledger reports on a Middlesex County resident who recently celebrated her 50th birthday. This comes more than 30 years after an original diagnosis by her doctors giving her only three days to live. Diane Rittman has been living at the Roosevelt Care Center since a car accident left her unable to speak and walk since age 17. 

Recent medical advances, in addition to the care she has been receiving, makes her one of the oldest residents at Roosevelt and gives hope to patients and families dealing with similar situations.
