TBI Patients At Greater Risk of Developing Epilepsy
A recent article out of Washington this week links traumatic brain injury patients, as a result from car crashes to wounded soldiers, as being at much greater risk of one day developing epilepsy as a result of their brain injury. New studies are now being conducted in the hopes of being able to determine what kinds of TBIs are most likely to result in future cases of epilepsy, and what drugs are available to treat and prevent this from occurring.
