Soldier fighting to aid comrades
Jessica Clements, a veteran of the Iraq war and traumatic brain injury patient, was recently named spokesperson for the newly formed non-profit group, the 10 in 10 Project, which assists wounded veterans suffering from brain injuries after their return home. The 10 in 10 Project is aimed at assisting 10 out of 10 veterans suffering from brain injuries in the hopes of returning to a meaningful life incurred during their time of service, rather than the current 2 out of 10 veterans receiving adequate assistance now.
The 10 our of 10 Project provides veterans with a Brain Injury Recovery Kit, a support program through the Brain Injury Association of New Mexico (BIANM), and membership in that veteran’s state chapter of the Brain Injury Association.
Jessica, and the 10 in 10 Project, has taken a great step in not only assisting veterans with their recovery, but also in raising awareness of the very critical need to increase funding for research and treatment of traumatic brain injuries.
