New York Times Writer Suffers TBI
I read an interesting article in the New York Times recently which details the story of Marilyn Berger’s traumatic brain injury. Berger is a a frequent contributor to The New York Times, and is the author of “This Is a Soul: The Mission of Rick Hodes.” Earlier this year, Berger sustained a traumatic brain injury, similar to the one that killed Natasha Richardson last year: a subdural hematoma. This article reinforces the fact that there is no mild traumatic brain injury. Education, prevention and early detection is key in diagnosing and treating TBIs.
