Miraculous Recovery From a Traumatic Brain Injury
The South Bend Tribune has an article about a truck driver’s miraculous recovery after suffering a traumatic brain injury. In February of 2004, Claude Kaser slipped and fell from a rig he was working on and hit his head. Doctors had to preform emergency an craniotomy since blood from the damaged part of his brain was seeping into other parts of the brain, damaging areas responsible for his mood, memory and speech.
There were serious risks involved. Doctors weren’t sure if Kaser would survive the operation. And if he did survive, doctors said there was a chance he wouldn’t be able to talk or move the right side of his body.
“They said chances are if he could ever sit up or do anything it would be a miracle,” Claude’s son Brent said.
Now Claude is working full time doing maintenance on the trucks he used to drive.
