Living with Brain Injury
The February 2006 issue of LOST Magazine had a very interesting article about what it is like to live with a brain injury. The author, Floyd Skloot, became brain injured in 1988 by a virus that attacked his brain. He describes his brain injury this way, “I went to sleep here and woke up there; the place looked the same but nothing in it worked the way it used to.”
Mr. Skloot tells a very detailed story about the challenges in day-to-day life for a person with brain injury. You can read the full story here.
